Foam glass

Cellular (foam) glass is widely recognized for its light weight, low parameters of heat conductivity. It is widely used in the petroleum and chemical industries as well as underground engineering and military projects for heat insulation, temperature conservation, cold storage and sound insulation. In addition, it is applied in civil construction as waterproof and heat resistant material on exterior walls and roofs. In line with increasing demands for environmental protection, cellular glass will be one of the major materials in civil construction for exterior insulation. Cellular glass is air tight, non-combustible, rodent and moth proof, and except for hydrofluoric acid, it is resistant to all alkalis and acids. It is non-toxic not radioactive, possesses stablechemical properties, great flexibility in processing and maintains shape and structure. With a service life as long as that of the construction, it is believed to be an extremely environmentally safe, reliable, durable and energy efficient construction material.
