This vest provides NIJ IIIA protection, and can be upgraded to NIJ III or IV by inserting Protec-Vie^TM bulletproof plates in front and back pockets attached to the vest. It provides complete protection for the neck, shoulder and lower abdomen, and only weighs 4.5kg without bullet proof plates.

Multi-layers of SURREDAN^TM UD fabric, which is made of UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) fiber, this highly engineered composite fiber is 10-15times stronger than steel, and 40% stronger than Aramid fiber.
