Introduction
Anyang High-tech Park (AYHTP) is
located at the southeastern part of Anyang City,
Henan province. With over 3,000 years of history,
Anyang city is recognized as one of China's seven
most famous ancient capital cities.
Located in northern Henan province, Anyang
borders three provinces, namely, Shanxi, Hebei and
Shandong. It is about 500 km from Beijing and 160
km from Xinzheng International Airport.

Climate
The key industries in AYHTP, as
well as in the city, are iron and steel,
electronics, mechanical instruments, medicals,
chemical engineering and food. Anyang Steel
Corporation and Anyang Color TV Tube Glass Co. Ltd
are recognized as being among China's 500 largest
industrial enterprises.
With total sales of RMB 4.5 billion (USD 540
million) and a profit of RMB 740 million (USD
89.48 million), Anyang Steel Corporation is the
largest steel corporation in Henan province.
Anyang Color TV Tube Glass Co. Ltd is the largest
Sinoforeign joint venture in the province and the
products have a 40% domestic market share.
Other important local enterprises include
Anyang Chemicals, Flying Eagle Group, Panda
Electronics, Yellow River Tires Co. Ltd and Anyang
Tobacco Factory.
Established in 1992 and upgraded as a
province-level development zone in 1995, AYETDZ
will develop 2.6 km2 in the initial
stage. By the end of 1998, 113 projects, including
22 high-tech ones, had been approved. Total
investment commitment was around RMB 1.25 billion
(USD 150 million).
