Introduction
Bole Border Economic Cooperation
Zone (BLBECZ) was authorized and established as a
national border zone by the State Council in 1992.
The Zone is in fact an integrated part of the
development of Bole City, which has long been
considered the key city of Buoertala Mongolian
Autonomous Prefecture.
The Zone has been developing fast. The total
planned area of the Zone is around 7.83
km2. The industrial section within the
Zone covers an area of 4.85 km2, which
is around 61.9% of the total area.
The development of the Zone is greatly
enhanced by a good transportation system. It has a
fine railroad; its Ala Mountain Highway is also
drawing investors. The major industries of Bole
include cotton, sugar, edible oil and beverages.
