An Automation Panel 5AP923.1215-00 is connected to the integrated SDL interface (onboard) via an SDL cable. USB devices can only be connected directly to the Automation Panel 5AP923.1215-00(i.e. without a hub). Many different peripheral USB devices can be connected to the 2 or 3 USB interfaces on the Automation Panel 5AP923.1215-00. These can each handle a load of 500 mA. The maximum transfer rate is USB 2.0. Only end devices (not hubs) can be connected to the Automation Panel 5AP923.1215-00.
Each 5AP923.1215-00 key or LED can be configured individually and adapted directly to the application. Various B&R tools are available for this purpose:
• B&R Key Editor for Windows operating systems
• Visual Components for Automation Runtime
